David Blaine, magicman.
I saw this episode of his earlier on today and it got me thinking immediately. I recalled my aunt telling me that David Blaine is some unorthodox cult occurance. And I remembered someone telling me that The Da Vinci Code is a cult-based book that can lead christians astray. I also remembered many other things that are allegedly of some 'cult' or the other.

Singaporeans have zero creativity. As long as you don't believe in something, it's a cult. To me, this is an absolutely groundless conjecture. Miracles do happen, just like shit does happen. And not everything is scientifically proven, for example, the reason why your mother named you "Dick". She didn't darw up a fancy equation to arrive at "Dick" to be the prime decision for you.
You know, I think it suits you just fine.

Back to Blaine and his cult accusations. It is completely brainless for people to assume that he is unorthodox just because he can pull off a trick better than you can ever. Houdini, the 'magician' famous for his disappearing acts, was nothing but a highly-skilled trickster. On the other hand, David Copperfield, is a piece of shit. (Mainly because that's the only magician Singaporeans know.) Copperfield's trade secrets were revealed on AXN about a year ago. I know because I watched it. That programmed showed viewers how 'magicians' supposedly performed their 'magic'. The keyword to a convincing act is: Timing.

Were these 'magicians' from the same cult? If your answer is yes, congratulations, you're a certified dipshit. Just because you do not understand the way a trick is performed, or you do not believe the stunt pulled before your eyes, that does not mean that it is supernatural, or worse, from a cult. This 'cult' perception is stupid.

Imagine this.
"Here is a card. I did not look at it"
"Ok."
"Is it a Ace of Spades?"
"OH MY GOD YOU'RE FROM A CULT!"

Idiocy. The next time you are on the brink of thinking something is unorthodox or supernatural, slap yourself. Following that, think of various reasons on how that incident can be achieved. Think science, technology, timing, illusions, distractions. Not just fucking 'cult'.

EAT COAL, SHIT DIAMOND.
